Airline/Club Name: Northwest WorldClub
Location: MSP (Minneapolis/St. Paul)
Terminal/Concourse: “C” Concourse
*Special: All NWA Worldclubs are scheduled to transition to Delta Crown Room locations in 2009.
Notes: I personally prefer this room to the alternative Worldclub adjacent to the G/F concourses. While still large, it feels cozier and more exclusive. If you find yourself here in early-mid 2009 you should still be able to enjoy bagels or muffins in the morning and an assortment of fruits and vegetables, snacks and a complimentary self-serve bar with select liquors, beers and non-alcoholic beverages. It’s hard to say what will happen with the NWA Clubs as they transition to Delta but you may see more Crown Room services as the two companies continue to merge. For example, Crown rooms have full-service bars with servers where NWA clubs do not (snack choices are different as well). In the meantime, you get to fix your own gin and tonics.
Wi-Fi: Yes/Free (for now)
Service:Friendly greeting, quick check-in. Snack/beverage area was well stocked.
Convenience to gate: While I would most likely walk a little further to use this room over the more accessible Worldclub near the F concourse, I wouldn’t reccomend using it for flights departing from the G concourse or the further F gates. This club is best suited for A/B/C Concourse departures.
How I got in: Priority Pass. If you’re not particularly loyal to a specific airline or don’t travel enough to use airport club rooms, I highly recommend joining. The least expensive membership is $99 and gives you access to various clubs in most US and major global airports. You can also access this room with annual WorldClub memberships, Delta Crown Room memberships or by being an American Express Platinum card holder (Amex standard Platinum only).

Good review. This is one of the newer generation WorldClubs (like in DTW, MEM, SFO and NRT). Delta’s Crown Rooms offer much less in terms of snacks/food than the Worldclubs do, so I hope this merger brings Delta’s lounges up to NW’s standards.

Thanks Neal. I’ve noticed a few Delta lounges have been adding to their snack selection. I’ve recently enjoyed olives at LAX and pastries at JFK but nothing like WorldClubs selection. In my unlikely dream combo they keep the full service bar from Crown Rooms and NWA snacks.
