The British Airways First Class Amenity Kit is Soooo Basic.
We’re told that the British Airways First Class Amenity kit of old was stuffed with higer-end goodies than what’s in this one. Still, we were able to find everything we […]
There’s no fanfare necessary for the actual seats themselves. In most rows you’ll get a fair amount of legroom and width that matches what you’ll get on most domestic flights. The center console is on the smaller side of generous but still allows for good elbow movement and a drink for each seat. These are newer lightweight seats so some might feel a difference in the amount of cushioning but were perfectly comfortable for us.
Recline seems generous but maybe a little bothersome if you don’t like to recline, but the seat in FRONT of you does. Luckily, your personal entertainment screen tilts upward if needed.
Beware the bulkhead. The wall is far too close for our liking and even with the small cutout at the base, you won’t have much room to stretch..
We flew on the third day that this plane was in service and wi-fi hadn’t yet been installed so we couldn’t dig in to the internet OR use the local-streaming version of Delta Studio. Once these planes are hooked up, you’ll get a variety of movies, TV shows and music right on your own device. We were fine with the seatback version of Delta Studio on the provided personal TV.

Your snack and food options will differ based on time and distance of your flight but on this quick hop from Atlanta to Orlando, we were offered a variety of goodies from the snack basket. As baskets go, it’s not a bad one. The banana provides a natural option and there’s a good mix of premium sweets and savory items up for grabs. It’s a lot of bagged carbs and diet-killers but if you’re hungry enough, you’ll grab all you can.
It was mostly about the overhead space (specifically about how many bags don’t fit on their side as diagrammed in the bins) but Flight attendants were overheard calling this “a smaller 757” with some features that were “mickey mouse” (maybe I confused one conversation with another about plans once the crew got to Orlando?). Early problems aside the crew offered a short but great service once in the air. Snacks and drinks came early and often with smiles and pro attitudes.

love the a321 and refurbished a319 interiors. Good overhead bins and lighting, and massive TV screens in First Class, good space between window seat and wall panel, power outlets, and a nice small pouch in seatback to put a charging phone without losing / forgetting it with the magazines.
Galley seems a little smaller than the 757 which could annoy some FAs and Passengers cant seem to turn the reading lights on without hitting the call button though (light button is in the silver bezel ring.

I’m a fan too but hate hate hate the rear washrooms on the A319. Otherwise a big improvement.
