Marriott has an announcement, but not today. We apologize for hyping Boracay in the Philippines. Plus, Jake is back from Cabo and offers his take on the area.

Marriott Rewards Devaluation Anxiety

Will Marriott devalue it’s rewards in merging with Starwood and Ritz Carlton programs? An announcement comes at 4:30pm on Monday, April 16.

Until then, let the speculation begin!

Time to jump on the Amex Starwood card? Maybe. I’m a big fan of the business card for lounge access at Sheraton Hotels.

Philipines Phun on Hold

Philipine Airlines launching a non-stop fiesta between New York and Manila…in October.

Boracay closed from April 26th…until October.

My hop to Cabo?

On the Modhop podcast this week, I review my laid-back stay at JW Marriott Resort and Spa in Los Cabos. If you missed it, check out my review from earlier in the week.

If you’ve already hit the review, why not meet the JW Marriott Los Cabos staff. [Warning: Don’t play at work if you don’t want colleagues to know you’re into Justin Timberlake]

Good podcast on this. I’ve binged listened to all the episodes in the past week. Great audio quality and I’m a travel and miles/points junkie so it’s a fun listen to while running or driving. I think adding a bit more depth and making the episodes a bit longer would be a good idea. Guests are good as well. I enjoyed listening to Anthony Ryan talk about going to P.R. but then just doing a staycation. You guys should consider doing a cruise trip out of the NYC area. I’m doing a one way trip this fall on Celebrity from NJ to PR. Being that you’re based in the NYC area you have a HUGE advantage on travel options and prices. Keep up the good work.
