The Room: Calling it a “club room” might lead you to believe it’ll be fully stocked with playing cards, roulette table and gin bar but normally there’s nothing very special about it. Rooms on this fancily-named floor at Grand Hyatt Istanbul are typically the hotel’s standard room with little else. But Standard rooms at Grand Hyatt Istanbul are pretty nice and who knows, maybe housekeeping will leave an extra bar of soap or a sewing kit…
The rooms sport separate sitting areas, a big comfortable king bed in a Grand Club King or two twin beds in a Grand Club Twin. Modhop staff wife, noted bed comfort and thread-count expert Ms. Redman says the beds are “Super Comfortable”. So that’s settled.
There’s nothing cramped about this room with good space to move around and shuttered window between the washroom and main room giving it a more open feel.
Here’s something new. I’m letting the wife take over this review so I can go fly on more airplanes. Say hi to “Ms. Redman”…
Washroom: A woman’s paradise! The bathroom was huge. Plenty of counter space to do your makeup and hair. Separate bath and shower. The tub was big and I made it a habit to soak in it.
Amenities: The spa was amazing. I especially enjoyed the steam room. It was so clean and there wasn’t a lot of foot traffic in the spa area in general. [JR:] Spa grade In-room amenities are by June Jacobs while Hyatt provides the loofah and robes.
See our gallery of pics from this room and the Grand Club Lounge area.
Service: Friendly and professional. [JR:] This is a well trained club level staff from what we could tell. Service gets better as you move up in this hotel but was top notch throughout.
Wi-fi/Connectivity: [JR:] High speed internet access is complimentary to Club Level guests and worked well for streaming short videos and more typical web surfing on our visit.
Club Lounge: Yummy food. Self serve cocktails. My husband and I wanted a White Russian one night and the staff there made efforts to make it for us.{{orbitz2}}
Overall: Great experience. I wish this hotel was my apartment in New York City. I would never leave.
