Seating: Condensed areas of loaf-style loungers dominate the main part of the National Bank World Mastercard Lounge at Montreal Trudeau (YUL). They’re not uncomfortable but at crowded times your anti-social self might have you wishing there were other accessible Priority Pass Lounges nearby. When not so packed, it’s easy to get comfortable.
If loafing isn’t your thing bar-style seating is lined up against a frosted glass window…so you won’t be distracted. There’s also an area of cafe seating and a small “quiet room” for phone-free lounging.
Food/Drink: It’s not the most robust buffet we’ve ever seen but in-line with what we’ve found inside other Priority Pass Lounges. This was a midday visit so small sandwiches and light salad options were out alongside breakfast options like pastries and fruit.
Basic soda and juice options are just as self-serve as the nice array of middle-shelf booze so watch your curious tweens.

Wi-fi/Connectivity: Wi-fi did well for streaming short videos and was more than acceptable for simple social networking. Power ports were less plentiful in the quiet and cafe areas but easy to spot in the main area’s side tables.
Service: The very freiendly front desk crew gave us a brief rundown of what to expect inside the lounge and got us checked in quickly. Once inside we were greeted by food
staff and everyone seemed cheery. Not needing anything in the way of extra help, our take on the service was good.
Showers: Sadly, no.
Summary: Sure, it’s a little small but the smiles and food make this a pleasant stop before your next intercontinental or domestic flight (but not to the USA). Seating areas might get cramped at busier times but most chairs are extra-wide and deep enough to stay comfortable in a crowd while food options were good enough to keep us happy pre-flight. Add to it that the booze ISN’T all bottom shelf (and self serve), we think the National Bank World Mastercard Lounge is a decent one…even with it’s obnoxiously long name.

How to get in: Not only is this one in a network of mostly airline-independent Priority Pass Lounges, it’s also accessible with your membership to a similar program like Airport Angel OR by anyone willing to pony up a few loonies (dollars, pounds…money) to get in. The listed non-member price at the time of this post is $37. Also as the name implies, your National Bank World Mastercard gets you in as well.
