Ear Smurfs: Because our cross-aisle neighbor insists on making clicking noises with his mouth, the first thing we dig for in this LOT Airlines Business Class amenity kit is the earplugs. These squishy little wedges should work fine to block out some noise but may not be of the quality you’d get inside a package with a name on it. We’d prefer to see a brand like 3M (or at least a noise reduction rating) printed on the package.
Bad for blind taste tests: Held up to light, you can just barely see through the provided eyemask. While we might be exaggerating when we say that you couldn’t use this for pin the tail on the donkey, it might be worth a shot if there are prizes involved (and you don’t mind cheating).
Micro Tube: Your collapsible travel toothbrush is compact and handy but B.Y.O.Toothpaste if you plan to brush more than once. The provided mini tube won’t stand for liberal applications.
It ain’t fancy: If you buy your toiletries at Bergdorf on the regular, this isn’t the kit for you. There wasn’t a name brand in the bunch from towlette to
Combs n’ Horns?: Combs and shoehorns might be more useful in the air. After a good nap, you’ll likely have a few hairs out of place so comb em’ out, slip on your shoes and take a nice, long business class walk.
It’s probably the least sexy kit we’ve come across but while the kit’s contents lack high-end quality, it attempts to make up for with quantity. If you were hoping to find some fancy skin-care in this LOT Airlines Business Class amenity kit, it’s not here. If you want to brush your teeth and don’t mind a little bit of light when you sleep, it’ll be great.
