You can check out our full video review, but if you want a longer look check out our gallery of pics from Asiana Business Class (Smartium) aboard a 777-300.
Let’s hop on board this Asiana 777-200 and into Smartium Business Class.
Headrests are nicely embedded in the seats so they’re not a nuisance in full-flat mode. Shown: 3E, 3F
Staggered middle-section seats alternate aisle-side and center consoles. Shown: (from row 3) Rows 4-6.
Don’t mind if I do. Pre-flight champagne and reading. Seat 3E.
Seat Controls are simple but do everything you need them to. Comfortable recline and fully-flat positions.
We skipped over the Winter Olympics in Sochi Russia to get to Seoul.
Seat width is just average if not a little narrower than we’d like. Might make it more of a challenge to nap. Shown: Seat 4D
We’re glued to the moving map on this big screen.
The footwell gets a little skinny but the slippers are cozy.
Tray table mounted in center with TV on right in alternate rows. Shown: Seat 2D.
Stuff your shoes or duty free goods into the under-footwell cubby.
The unconventional tray table seems wacky but it’s great when you want to push it out of the way (see video review) when you want to get up.
We got the whole center section to ourselves. Who needs a window on an overnight flight anyway? Shown: (from row 3) Rows 1-2

Asiana service is unmatched, and their presentation is amazing. Flew this route in Dec with wife but found the “middle” two seats largely incompatible with a travel partner because of the huge bulky barriers between the seats. Perfect if you’re traveling alone, but wouldn’t recommend if you’re hoping to actually engage the person over the course of the 10 hours.
I would imagine that the center seats with the large consoles in the middle are a pain. Ours in row 3 (and other odd numbered rows) had the large consoles on the aisle side of each seat so there was just a thin divider beteween the 2 seats, much better for duos. Agreed on the service, Asiana is tops.
