There’s more to New Chitose Airport (serving Sapporo Japan) but our favorite is the observation deck. You won’t see a wide variety of big planes from around the world but you’ll get a peek at plenty of national and regional carriers from this spacious outdoor porch. We saw plenty of ANA, JAL and Skymark planes pulling in and out befoor getting a peek at the small tribute to air travel posing as a museum. Here’s 2 minutes of Zen from the airport serving Sapporo Japan, New Chisote (CTS).
New Chitose Airport serves Sapporo Japan with a small mall’s worth of retail and food with a decent selection of food and attractions like Royce Chocolate World. Here’s a handful of snaps from our quick visit.

Have you covered the observation deck at HND? Late at night it’s a hang out spot. In addition to picnic tables, there are also vending machines with beer available.
What exactly was that Coke kiosk display and how did it know it was you? Did you key in your name.

HND is in the works for the coming months! Great deck there too.
As much as we’d like to fib and say that we were expected as guests of honor, the greeting was indeed self-keyed.
