AirBNB will soon discontinue it’s covid-era cancellation option. The company had implemented an “extenuating circumstances” option that let customers cancel reservations without penalty if they couldn’t travel because they’d tested positive for covid-19. Hosts could also cancel a reservation for the same reasons without affecting their Superhost status if they have it. The policy will go dark after May 31.
A man aboard a United flight arriving Chicago Ohare earlier today (meaning the day we record this)…decided he’d been on the plane long enough. Flight 2478 arrived from San Diego at 4:30am when the man opened the overwing exit, stepped onto the wing and slid off…while the plane was still in motion. United’s ground crew stopped him and he was taken into custody by police. The plane soon after continued to the gate and all remaining passengers deplaned safely says the airline.
