Delta Economy Comfort seat 10A aboard an MD88 is another to love. Stretch out fully with minimal obstruction and let your knees wobble around freely as they’ll have more room than they’ve seen south of first class in a long time. That’s not all! Seat(s): They aren’t the much nicer lie-flat seats that you’ll find aboard the airline’s A380 or 777-300 but will do for a relatively quick intra-Asian flight. These angle-flat seats in Thai Airways Business Class (Royal Silk) aboard an A330-300 provide average width and legroom for business class and unfold into a comfortable recline position. Fully extended, they become the type of seat many of us hated when gravity combines with light chop to inch your sleeping self toward the floor. Another declined upgrade, another video review for our YouTube Channel. We went basic for our one night stay at Room Mate Aitana hotel near Amsterdam Central Station.
Seating: There’s an impressive attempt to separate the seating areas in this small lounge. Kudos, Swissport. Booths, benches, loungers with those tiny table/desk things built in and cafe seating combine to make this a tiny club fit for all types of loungers.
Slowly, I’m working on a special piece called “Totally Unremarkable Hotel Rooms” and The Marriott SFO Waterfront Hotel currently makes the cut. We dig into the hotels most basic offering in this video from our YouTube Channel.
Important gear still sitting back at the modhop Travel Cave in NYC meant there’s no video from our visit to The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, so we’ve got pics. The upgrade is to a deluxe room on the 11th floor of the hotel, recently remodeled and reopened the week of our visit, so we’re one of the first to get inside one of these updated gems…
Seat(s): Expanding on a seatguru-esque “9D is a typical Economy Plus Seat” review isn’t easy with this one. There’s the extra legroom and slimmer Boeing style width but little else to report on the seat itself. The unBOX process is one that I try to leave opinion out of but I often say things like “…not a bad little amenity kit” or something complimentary about contents that I have little or no use for.
