Airline: Sun Country Aircraft: Boeing 737-700 Seat: 1D Class: First The Seat: The wear and tear on these seats make for a mediocre first impression, but once you’re settled in there’s not much that makes them any different (at least comfort-wise) than most US Domestic carriers. The legroom in this and it’s neighboring seat (1F) is the best in first. If you’re around 6′ tall or less, you should be able to fully extend your legs to the bulkhead and will have no problem getting in and out of your seat if you’re on the window. Hotel Solamar – San Diego, CA

The Room: Above average and very clean. The furnishings and feel of the room seem to be geared to attract a younger, hipper bunch but nothing is drastically outlandish (except maybe the leopard print bathrobe). The size of the room is average and is well appointed with large raffia headboards, comfortable beds with exceptionally comfortable down (or likely faux down) pillows and elegant, modern furnishings. The view was nothing spectacular, but I could see the stands of Petco field (home to the San Diego Padres baseball team) and some of the 4th level roof/pool area (Yes, there’s a pool). Rooms on […]
