The past year has seen a massive hiatus on travel that no one asked for. Travel is one of the most desired things in the world and something that many of us indulge in throughout a ‘normal’ year. It’s a time to just escape  the stresses of everyday life and get to experience something brand new.  From stepping on board a plane to discovering completely new cultures it curates memories that will last a lifetime. Unlike material gifts that are often received and then forgotten about within a matter of weeks, travel memories will stick with you for life and can completely shape your future experiences. Whether you’re going rafting in costa rica, chocolate tasting in St Lucia or exploring the many museums in Paris, you are spoilt for choice in the things you can do and the horizons that travel can open you up to. Here are just a few ways travel can benefit you and your life…

Learn New Cultures

If you only live or stay in one place then your knowledge of other cultures is limited. It is a great idea to travel and learn all about how people live and interact around the world. Immersing yourself in different cultures can make you appreciate and cherish the life that you have and you may develop new skills that really shape you as a person.

Jake says “This tuna spaghetti I ordered in Florence was one of the best things I’ve eaten. I dream about it now.”

There is nothing like going to India for a real curry or heading to Italy for an authentic pizza. The foodie experiences when you travel are just incredible and you will be able to try a whole host of new cuisines that you wouldn’t have even heard of before. There are many trips you can take that are just dedicated to food which are a must for any foodie!

Create Lifetime Memories

Whether you decide to go with a friend, your family or on a solo trip, travel will allow you to make memories that will stick with you for the rest of your life. You will always remember the places you visit, the people you met, the food you ate and the things you saw. These memories will never be able to replicate and will always be around to cheer you up when you need them the most.

These are just a few reasons that travel is so important and how it can shape you as a person. No matter the type of trip you book, it’s likely that you’re not going to regret travelling. Do your research and find some new places to book once it’s safe to do so.

We’re excited to travel again soon. What is the last place you went? Where is on your bucket list? We’d love to know!
